Terms
What we promise, and what we ask
The rules of using Amana, written to be read rather than skipped. If anything here is unclear, ask us on WhatsApp — a term you did not understand is not much of an agreement.

What Amana actually does
Amana is not a classifieds board. When an item sells, we come to the seller's home and collect it, check it against the photographs in the listing in front of them, clean it, seal it with a Verified by Amana tag, and hand-deliver it to the buyer.
Until it sells, the item stays in the seller's home. We are not a warehouse and we do not take possession of anything until the day it is bought.
Using this site means agreeing to what is below. If you do not, please do not use it.
Who can use Amana
You need to be 18 or over, and able to enter into a contract. You need to give us a real name and a working phone number before you buy or sell, because we will call you.
One account per person. An account is yours and is not to be shared.
If you are selling
Listing an item with us is a set of promises to the person who will receive it.
- The item is yours to sell, and it is not stolen, borrowed, subject to a safety recall, or already promised to somebody else.
- The photographs are of the actual item, taken recently, not pulled from a shop listing.
- You tell us about the flaws. All of them. A scuff you disclose is fine and a scuff you hide ends the sale — we photograph the item against your listing before it leaves your door, and anything undisclosed is found at that moment. A listing that admits a mark genuinely does sell better than one that hides it.
- The brand is on our approved list. We publish what we accept and it is deliberately narrow.
- You keep the item in the condition it was listed in, and you keep hold of it until we collect.
- If you sell or give the item to somebody else while it is listed with us, you withdraw the listing first.
Every listing goes through us
Nothing appears on Amana without a person reviewing it. We will approve it and assign a condition grade, adjust the price, ask you for better photographs, or decline it and tell you why.
The condition grade describes the item, never you. A well-used pram from a careful family is a well-used pram, and the grade is how we stay honest with the buyer about what they are getting.
We can decline anything, and we can remove a listing that turns out to be inaccurate. We would rather lose a sale than sell something we cannot stand behind.
The money
A buyer pays the price of the items plus one delivery fee for the whole basket. Three items from three different sellers is still one delivery to one door, and three collections is our cost, not the buyer's.
A seller keeps a percentage of the item price. Which percentage depends on whether you listed it yourself or asked us to come and photograph it, and the figure is shown to you before you choose. It is fixed at the moment your listing is approved, so a later change to our rates cannot move a deal you have already agreed.
The delivery fee is never shared with the seller. We do the driving.
Your lowest acceptable price is a floor on the item's price and is never shown to buyers. We will not list below it.
Nothing is charged at checkout, cash included. The money changes hands when the item does.
Verification, and what happens when something does not match
On the day of the sale we check the item against its own listing, item by item, in the seller's home. If it matches, it is cleaned, sealed and delivered.
If it does not match, the order is cancelled and the buyer is not charged. We will not deliver something we have just discovered was described wrongly, and we will not quietly ask the buyer to accept it instead.
If you are buying
You have three days from delivery to tell us the item does not match its listing. We will collect it and refund you.
This is not a change-of-mind window, and we would rather say so than let you discover it. It covers "this is not what was described" — an undisclosed tear, a missing part, the wrong model. It does not cover "it does not fit in my car" or "I have changed my mind". Everything on Amana is preloved and described honestly, and if you are unsure about an item, ask us before you buy rather than after.
Message us on WhatsApp to make a claim. There is no form for this yet, and a person will handle it.
Getting paid, if you sold
We pay by InstaPay after the buyer's three-day window closes, to the handle you gave us. Until that window closes the sale is not yet final, which is why the payout waits.
Payouts are made by hand and recorded. If one is late, ask us — it will be a person who forgot, not a system that refused.
What we will not carry
Some things are not ours to resell responsibly, and we would rather turn away business than pretend otherwise.
- Anything whose safety depends on a history we cannot see. A used car seat may have been in a collision that left no mark, and no photograph can rule that out — so we do not currently accept them, however good the seat looks.
- Anything subject to a manufacturer safety recall.
- Consumables, and anything that cannot be properly cleaned between two children.
- Counterfeits, and brands that are not on our approved list.
- Anything broken, incomplete, or missing parts needed to use it safely.
What we are responsible for, and what we are not
We are responsible for what we actually do: checking an item against its listing, cleaning it, carrying it carefully, and being accurate about its condition. If we get that wrong, tell us and we will put it right.
We did not manufacture any of these items and we are not the manufacturer's agent. A preloved item carries no manufacturer's warranty and we cannot give you one. We check condition and completeness; we cannot certify that a years-old product still meets the standard it was sold under, and we do not claim to.
Please read the instructions, check the manufacturer's website for recalls on anything that straps a child in, and use your own judgement. We are careful, not infallible.
Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our responsibility for any single order is limited to what you paid for it.
Closing your account
You can leave whenever you like — message us and we will close it. If you have a sale or a delivery in progress we will finish that first, because somebody on the other side of it is waiting.
We can suspend an account that lists stolen goods, misrepresents items repeatedly, or treats our staff or other users badly. We will tell you why.
If these terms change
The date at the top moves when the words do. A change never applies backwards to a deal already agreed — the terms that govern your sale are the ones that were in place when it was approved, which is the same principle as freezing your payout rate.
Law, and disagreements
These terms are governed by the law of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction.
Before any of that, though: talk to us. Nearly everything that goes wrong in this business is a phone call, and we would much rather have the phone call.
